Pupils learn to work hard and compete while maintaining a collegial and collaborative environment. Our pupils develop lifelong skills, personal growth, and a strong sense of physical fitness and wellness.
As a member of the Grace Citadel Athletic League (GCAL), composed of several independent schools within the city, The Grace Citadel Schools Rangers compete in four interscholastic sports:
-
Cross Country (Fall-Term)
-
Volleyball (Fall-Term)
-
Basketball (Mid-Term)
-
Football (Start-Term)
More than 80% of our middle school (6-8th) pupils participate in the athletics program, and 5th graders are eligible to participate in cross country. In accordance with our mission, all interested student athletes are welcome to participate. All practices, games, and meets take place after school during the school week. Home cross country meets are held in Godswill Akpabio Stadium, and home games in volleyball, basketball, and football are played on campus.
