The Start of GCS
In 1966, The Grace Citadel Schools was founded beside the GCEO church on Akpan Odok Street, just a few blocks from the main Street. Originally known for excellence, the fledgling community expanded rapidly, and in 2025, began building a high school a few meters away of the same Street.
Where Learning Meets Adventure
Our 1.6 acre campus has changed over time, and that includes the High School section of the school. The School also created the Adventure Playground, a unique terraced garden space that includes a field station, a gazebo, a barn, an expansive garden, and a 50 foot slide!
Blending Tradition with Innovation
Outdoor spaces are interspersed throughout the campus. Recent renovations have updated the preschool, kindergarten, and 1st grade classrooms as well as the music room. The campus has unique learning spaces such as the Learning Commons and the Workshop.
