GCSchool anthem is a special song that represents our identity, values, vision, and mission of our school. It is usually sung during:

Morning assembly

School events

Graduation ceremonies

Special celebrations

The anthem promotes unity, pride, discipline, and loyalty among our pupils.

Why GCSchool Anthem?

Teaches Respect and Patriotism – Similar to a national anthem, it promotes loyalty and respect for authority.

Promotes School Identity – It reminds pupil of what their school stands for.

Encourages Unity – When pupils sing together, it builds teamwork and belonging.

Instills Values – The lyrics often emphasize discipline, excellence, honesty, leadership, and service.

Builds School Spirit – It creates pride and motivation in pupils.

Not by my strength

School Pledge

By the grace of God my Father,
and my Saviour Jesus Christ.
I do declare, I am a child of the Most High God.
I do promise, I will reveal God’s glory
in all that I will do.
I will be loyal and studious.
I will shine for the world to see.
Like my Father, nothing before
me shall be impossible.

Our Rules

1. Stand at Attention

No sitting, leaning, or moving around.

All students must stand upright immediately the anthem begins.

2. Maintain Silence Before and After

Stop talking once the announcement for the anthem is made.

Remain silent until the anthem is completely finished.

3. Sing with Respect and Confidence

Do not mock or distort the song.

Sing clearly and confidently.

Avoid shouting, joking, or changing the lyrics.

4. Proper Posture

Stand straight.

Hands by your sides (or behind your back if school policy states so).

Face the school flag or assembly front if instructed.

5. No Distractions

Do not play, push, laugh, or distract others during the anthem.

Phones and other devices should not be used.

6. Participation is Mandatory

Every pupil must participate unless officially excused.

Participation shows loyalty and respect for the school.

7. Show Good Conduct

Maintain discipline throughout.

Follow instructions from teachers or prefects.
